Corinne Collins is a Certified Nurse Practitioner and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor. For over 25 years she has been providing up-to-date medical care and counsel geared to assisting patients in achieving optimal health and wellbeing.
After graduating from the Nurse Practitioner Program at UCLA in 1995, Corinne spent 16 years in Ventura County, California working as a nurse practitioner. Previous to that time, she worked as a Registered Nurse, bringing her compassionate care to people in distant parts of the globe, including Vietnam, Thailand, Nepal, and Tibet.
Corinne is also a 20 year student and practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism. In that time, she has become increasingly interested in bringing the transformative methods of meditation and compassion practices to both her patients and to the public at large.
Corinne’s mission is to offer MBSR programs in unique and inspiring settings; including study tours to Nepal, Japan and other asian countries to make this powerful method of mind-body healing appealing to the general public.
In July 2016 Corinne became certified as a Mindfulness Facilitator through the Engaged Mindfulness Institute, Northampton, Massachusetts (engaged mindfulness.org). Corinne has also completed training as an MBSR teacher through the University of California San Diego’s MBSR Teacher Training Intensive (mbpti.org) in September 2014, and San Jose California’s Dominican Hospital Practicum in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, June 2013.
